Blue Water Photography Print by carolyncochrane.com

Water is without a doubt, my FAVORITE element on this beautiful Earth of ours.  I could sit by a beautiful lake, river and of course the ocean for hours and hours, just drinking in the soothing ebb and flow.  As a lover of design, I'm drawn to the ripples, lines and patterns water creates.

Beautiful blue water really does something very healing to my insides, it calms me like nothing else can.  I love trying to capture that soothing feeling of water with my camera.  That way I can hopefully pass on that peaceful feeling to all of you.  Hope this print, "Waves," brings you a nice sense of relaxation today.  :)

Peach Flower Daisy Photography by carolyncochrane.com

Happy Monday friends!  :)  I love the color peach so I thought I'd give myself and any fans of the pretty color a little peach fix with this photo today.  In real life, this daisy was actually a really bright orange.  Once I brought it into Photoshop, I started feelin' the peach vibe so I went with it.  Oh how I love photoshop.  Expressing myself with color is sooo fun.  I'm calling this new flower print, "Peachy Keen."

Pink Green Nature Art by carolyncochrane.com

Happy Monday!  I wanted to share this beautiful flower with you that I recently bought at Home Depot.  Isn't it pretty?  If I'm remembering correctly, I think it's a Dahlia flower.  I just love the shape and arrangement of the petals and the white and pink color combination.  To my eyes, this beautiful flower is a true work of art!  I've never had a Dahlia before but I think this will be the first of many for me, I think they're the cat's pajamas.  :)

Have a great day and remember to stop and smell the flowers!

Birds in Tree Photography by carolyncochrane.com

I caught these little birdies while walking in a nearby park with my mom about a month ago.  After our walk, we headed back to my Mom's house and looked in her bird book hoping to identify them.  We found them and now as I'm posting this I can't remember what they were called for the life of me.  Don't you hate when that happens?  I'm only 34 too so I can't use age as an excuse...darn.

Whatever these birds are though, I really enjoyed watching them.  They were constantly flying over our heads really fast and were hanging out in this big birdhouse that was built in the park for them.  It was a great place to do some bird watching.  I'm hoping one day I'll have a telephoto lens where I can get really close up pics without having to be right on top of birds... birds are definitely camera shy.

Have a great day!

Yellow Daisy Flower Photography by carolyncochrane.com

Daisies are one of my favorite flowers, I love the simple shape and graceful petals.  Here's a pretty daisy that I bought recently with the sole purpose of taking it's picture.  For some strange reason, I like taking photos of daisies from the back...don't ask my why.  I know, it's weird.  Hope you enjoy it anyway.  :)

It's SO hot here in New Jersey today.  I want to go out and take pics but there's no way I'll voluntarily take myself out of the air-conditioning, not even this evening.  Hopefully I'll get out for new pics with my camera in a couple days when it cools off.  Hope you're beating the heat wherever you are today!

Have a great day,

Carolyn  :)

P.S.  This flower print is now available on my shop here... "Butterscotch"
