We had a downpour the other day.  As soon as it stopped, I grabbed the camera and went outside to capture some of the pretty drops.  I love my macro lens.  Doesn't the reddish blurry part in the background kind of look like a heart?  I think so.  :)  Hope you enjoy.

The sunset was so beautiful on the bay last week.  I couldn't stop staring at it...I think I took about a ga-zillion pictures.  The sun was a big red vibrant glowing ball, lighting up the bay with it's brilliant warm color. Everything was quiet, there were no people around me.  The sound of the water gently lapping up against the shore was all I could hear.  It was a perfect, peaceful moment for me...I cherished every second.  Those are the moments in nature I live for...as a photographer and fellow human being.  Hope this warms you on the inside a little today.  :)

Last night I took a trip to the shore for a few hours and spotted this cool scene on the bay.  Each seagull was standing on a post on this old pier....I thought it was so picturesque.  It's so fun to spot special moments in time with my camera in hand.  I'm calling this new print, "Lookout"

One of my all-time favorite things about being a photographer is finding unique patterns and designs in nature that catch my eye.  I'm always on the look out for leaves, weeds or anything that has orderly lines or shapes.  I think that's why I like photographing grass so much...great lines!  The image above is a beautiful fern leaf I captured while leisurely strolling through a park this spring with my camera.  I love the striking pattern.  There's so much beauty in our natural world just waiting to be noticed.
